Jose Callejon - NapoliNapoli forward Jose Callejon has revealed that he feels more important at the club than he did at Real Madrid, though he admits that it wasn’t easy leaving Spain.

The 26-year-old joined the Partenopei from the La Liga giants over the summer for a fee of €10 million and has been playing a key role in the revamped Italian side under Rafa Benitez, as he’s already scored six goals in 11 Serie A appearances.

Callejon spoke to Cadena Cope about his experience in Naples thus far and commented on his time in Madrid.

“My goals? I have a lot of confidence and this can be seen on the field,” said the Spaniard, as reported by Tuttonapoli.net.

“I have the confidence of the coach and all of my team-mates. My experience in Madrid was very important, but this a different stage.

“It’s an interesting project at Napoli and I feel good. We’re improving and working to do even more.

“I feel important, I feel good and I’m very confident. You can see the mood of the player on the field.

“I lived for Real for many years, since my youth, it was a big decision to leave.

“San Paolo or Bernabeu? The Bernabeu means a lot to me, but the San Paolo is caliente.

“Will it be a happy season? If we win the Scudetto.”
