The 26-year-old joined the Partenopei from the La Liga giants over the summer for a fee of €10 million and has been playing a key role in the revamped Italian side under Rafa Benitez, as he’s already scored six goals in 11 Serie A appearances.
Callejon spoke to Cadena Cope about his experience in Naples thus far and commented on his time in Madrid.
“My goals? I have a lot of confidence and this can be seen on the field,” said the Spaniard, as reported by Tuttonapoli.net.
“I have the confidence of the coach and all of my team-mates. My experience in Madrid was very important, but this a different stage.
“It’s an interesting project at Napoli and I feel good. We’re improving and working to do even more.
“I feel important, I feel good and I’m very confident. You can see the mood of the player on the field.
“I lived for Real for many years, since my youth, it was a big decision to leave.
“San Paolo or Bernabeu? The Bernabeu means a lot to me, but the San Paolo is caliente.
“Will it be a happy season? If we win the Scudetto.”
