Gianluigi Buffon’s career may be nearing its end as Juventus have identified Newcastle United’s Tim Krul as an ideal replacement for the custodian.
The 25-year-old has been on Newcastle’s books since 2005, but his affair with the Toon Army could soon end as the Bianconeri step up their interest in clinching his signature.
According to Sunderland Echo, Krul has been linked with AC Milan in recent weeks. However, the Old Lady seem to have emerged as frontrunners in the race to snap up the highly-rated Dutch keeper.
The following few months could be crucial in determining whether or not the player will match the high expectations associated with the No. 1 shirt at the Juventus Stadium.
Krul has made 11 Premier League appearances for the Magpies this season.
