Luca Antonelli - GenoaNapoli have reportedly agreed a deal to take Genoa’s Luca Antonelli to the Stadio San Paolo in January for a fee of €8 million.

The Partenopei are keen to strengthen their back line and coach Rafa Benitez isn’t convinced with current left-back Pablo Armero.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal was struck after a meeting between the club presidents Aurelio De Laurentiis and Enrico Preziosi.

It is also thought that Alessandro Gamberini and Emanuele Calaio will move permanently to the Grifone as part of the transfer.

However, with Antonelli’s contract due to expire in June 2014, his father and agent Roberto Antonelli said they are ‘considering renewing his deal’ as he is ‘happy playing at the club [Genoa].’
