Aurelio De Laurentiis NapolilurenNapoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis proposed last week a €50 million budget for his side during the January transfer window, with Lyon’s Maxime Gonalons and Genoa’s Luca Antonelli coming to mind.

The Vesuvian side will be looking to acquire a centre-back, full-back and central midfielder to stay competitive in Serie A play to secure a Champions League place for next season

According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli will have a meeting with Gonalon’s agent over the Lyon midfielder, while acquiring Antonelli should not be very difficult.

Napoli tracked the French international this past summer, but were not able to complete a transfer.

The midfielder has made 15 appearances so far this season with Lyon.

Antonelli on the other hand is reported to being very close to signing with the Partenopei and could serve as immediate reinforcement due to Juan Zuniga’s absence.

The Italian international has featured in seven league appearances Genoa this season.
