Napoli have made a bid for Genoa’s 26-year-old left back Luca Antonelli, reports are suggesting.
The Italian international has caught the eye of Napoli boss Rafa Benitez, and reports suggest the Spaniard is keen to add the Grifone defender to his side.
Radio Kiss Kiss reported that Napoli offered €4.8m to secure Antonelli, but Genoa club president Enrico Preziosi is said to have rejected the offer.
According to the radio station, Antonelli is valued around the €7m mark but a deal could be done if €6m was offered.
The defender had spells with Milan and Parma before joining Genoa and made his debut for the Italian national side in 2010.
Antonelli’s contract with Genoa runs out at the end of June 2014.
