Roma defender denies move to PSG

Italian international Federico Balzaretti has poured cold water on reports suggesting he will make a move to the Ligue 1 with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The 31 year-old has been linked with the move in recent weeks, but the Roma defender has insisted that he is very much content in Rome and has also praised and spoke highly of his captain and teammate Francesco Totti.

“PSG? I don’t think that’s going to happen!” he told Italia Uno. “I feel great here in Rome.

“This year we will win the Scudetto and I hope to regain my place in the national team for the World Cup.

“Totti? He’s the strongest teammate I’ve ever had. He is an amazing player.”

Balzaretti has made 31 appearances and scored one goal.
