Arsenal have returned to the idea of signing French youngster M’Baye Niang from AC Milan.

The Gunners had registered an interest in the attacker when he was at Caen but the Rossoneri beat them to the player’s signature.

According to Talksport, the Londoners could make an offer for Niang who is apparently unsettled at the San Siro.

The 18 year-old has only scored once in a competitive match for Milan coming in a Coppa Italia tie with Reggina.

He’s started just one Serie A match this season and is ineligible for the Champions League due to a paperwork error.

Niang had trails with Arsenal before joining Milan but a loan move to a Serie A club seems more likely at present.

Parma, Genoa and Sampdoria appear to be potential destinations for the striker come January.
