Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly still interested in bringing Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea courted the 30-year-old this past summer, but were unsuccessful in their attempts.
According to Sport Direct News, Mourinho and Chelsea have set aside €25 million to sign the Rome native.
The London club could tempt De Rossi with a higher salary, but it seems unlikely that the midfielder would leave seeing as he remains a key factor to the Giallorossi project as well as hopes of becoming captain after Francesco Totti.
De Rossi has made 431 career appearances with Roma since 2001, netting 48 times.
