Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono thinks that Juventus were too strong to handle for his team in today’s match, where they suffered a 4-1 defeat at home.

An even first half saw both teams score, Carlos Tevez and Maxi Moralez the goalscorers, but in the second half the Bianconeri dominated play and scored three times to bag the win. The second half goals were scored by Paul Pogba, Fernando Llorente and Arturo Vidal.

“Conte’s Juventus is a team that is too strong,” Colantuono said to Rai Sport after the match.

“We were able to keep up with them in the first half, succeeding in balancing the score following Tevez’ opener, but in the second half – after Pogba’s goal – we saw the full strength of the Italian champions.

“Juventus is a team that people know well. They have a certain system of playing, are strong and are used to winning.”

Sunday’s defeat means that Atalanta drop one place to 15th position in Serie A, but the distance to the relegation spots stay the same at four points
