The agent of John Heitinga has stated that the Everton defender would welcome a transfer to Italy in January but admitted at the same that there are currently no concrete offers.
The 30-year-old has found himself on the fringes of the first team at Goodison Park with both Fiorentina and Napoli linked to the player.
“There is a good chance Everton will sell in January and we are evaluating several opportunities,” Heitinga’s agent Rob Jansen told Calciomercato.it.
“Johnny [Heitinga] would like to play in Italy, but for the moment I haven’t had official contact with Fiorentina or Napoli.”
Centre-back Heitinga, who is under contract till the summer of 2014, has not appeared in a single Premier League game for Everton this season.
