David Pizarro is thought to be feeling resented over his treatment at Fiorentina, thereby fueling rumors of a possible exit come January.

Though he was la Viola’s lynchpin and primary leader last season starting nearly every game, the Chilean has had to endure a horrid time this year , benched thrice in the previous five league outings.

According to a report in Gazzetta dello SportVincenzo Montella does not seem to prefer Pizarro for various technical and physicality issues and his losing of the captain’s armband recently to team mate Borja Valero did nothing but inhibit any future the 34-year-old can have at Florence.

With his contract expiring next summer, it is highly possible that the 34-year-old will be offloaded in January for a modest amount that can be invested elsewhere.

Known for his passing skill, flair and calmness at the center of the midfield, Pizarro previously played for Roma, Inter and Manchester City as well.
