Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi has been linked with a possible move to English club Tottenham.

After returning to form since his January move to the Viola from Villarreal, Rossi’s play has caught the attention of manager Andre Villas-Boas as he looks to bolster the North London based side’s forward line.

According to the Express, Tottenham are planning to plot an ambitious £30 million bid for Rossi in the upcoming January transfer window.

Reports suggest that Spurs technical director Franco Baldini is working hard on potential targets for the winter while chairman Daniel Levy is thought to be a big fan the ex-Manchester United player.

With Roberto Soldado not fulfilling his £26 million price tag with only four goals in the Premier League this season and rumours of Jermain Defoe leaving in the winter, Rossi, who is under contract with Fiorentina until 2017, could be what Spurs  need to help solve their goalscoring issues.

The Italian international’s form after recovering from injury has seen him score 12 goals in 15 matches for the Viola this season.
