luca antonelliNapoli are thought to be near to officially announcing the signing of Genoa defender Luca Antonelli.

The Vesuviani have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old during the winter transfer window and are now believed to have secured a provisional deal.

According to Il Mattino, Napoli have agreed to sign the left-back for a fee of €7 million and that the only detail now missing is an official announcement.

It has also been rumoured that one or both of Alessandro Gamberini and Emanuele Calaio could see their moves from Napoli to Genoa made permanent as part of the agreement.

However, Roberto Antonelli has claimed that his son is still to agree a deal to join the Partenopei.

“It’s not done yet, I believe that the two clubs are still in discussions,” the former Monza, AC Milan and Genoa striker told TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

“He continues to be a player of Genoa.”
