Juventus coach Antonio Conte was not happy with the decision to play the Champions League match between his team and Galatasaray despite poor weather and pitch conditions.

The Bianconeri were sent out of the Champions League after losing 1-0 away to Galatasaray in a game that was played over the course of two days due to bad weather conditions.

“We tried to have the game postponed in a meeting with UEFA delegates, explaining the danger for the players for them, but they wouldn’t listen to us,” he told Sky Sport.

“Didier Drogba said to me at half-time that the problems were the same for both sides, but it wasn’t so because if the conditions had been different, the result would have been different.

“I can’t say anything to the guys because we were trying to play football on a difficult pitch that punished us.”

With the loss Juventus finished in third place in group B and will therefore participate in the Europa League knockout round.
