Juventus have been linked with four different players across Europe as the January transfer window draws nearer.

Long-rumoured targets Xabi Alonso, Nani and Christian Benteke have now been joined by Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, according to the Italian press.

The most intriguing link, reported by Tuttosport, is Mandzukic.

The Croatian striker, 27, has 10 goals in 18 appearances this season, but has found himself largely out of favour since coach Pep Guardiola’s arrival in the summer – speculation has mounted to the extent the same publication now says his agent has been seen in Turin recently.

Real Madrid regista Alonso, 32, is out of contract in June 2014, prompting rumours general director Beppe Marotta is looking into the possibility of signing him on a pre-contract agreement similar to that which saw Fernando Llorente join the champions during the summer.

Manchester United’s 27-year-old winger Nani, however, signed a new five-year contract in September and has forced his way back into contention with the English champions under David Moyes.

Belgian striker Christian Benteke, 23, has five goals in 12 games for Aston Villa this season, and Paul Lambert is unlikely to want to part with his key player – with any offer rumoured to have to come near the £20m mark.
