Former Fiorentina striker Gabriel Batistuta has revealed that he believes AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is wasting his talent.
The legendary Argentine striker became an icon during his days in Florence and was part of the last Roma side that were able to win the Scudetto in 2001.
The 44-year-old was noted for his talents during his playing career, but he believes the Italian international could do more with his incredible skill.
“What do I think of Balotelli? I was not born a football player,” Batistuta is quoted as saying by the Corriere dello Sport.
“I had to become a player with hard work, sweat and sacrifice. Balotelli, but also others, have everything I wanted to have, but they don’t take advantage of it.
“That really gets on my nerves.”
Batistuta was most recently a director with Argentine club Colón de Santa Fe before leaving the club earlier this year.
