Newly-rich Ligue 1 club AS Monaco reportedly want current Juventus coach Antonio Conte to take over the reins after Claudio Ranieri.

With the help of their wealthy owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, Monaco have quickly risen from Ligue 2 to the top of Ligue 1, and are currently in second spot, just two points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Tuttosport, Rybolovlev sees Conte as the perfect man to lead Monaco to European glory and the Russian could be ready to offer him a golden contract and carte blanche on the transfer market.

Juventus, however, are confident that they will be able to hold on to Conte until 2015 and maybe even longer as main objective for the tactician is to win the Champions League with the Bianconeri, and therefore a possible contract extension to 2017 will be discussed in the coming weeks.

Conte has been at Juventus since 2011, leading the team to two Scudetti and the Supercoppa Italiana on two occasions.
