Roma are reportedly in front in the race to sign Torino fullback Danilo D’Ambrosio.

The Giallorossi are reportedly keeping tabs on the Italian given the advanced ages of Maicon and Federico Balzaretti and have targeted the Granata player as a  potential signing next summer.

According to the Messenger, with rivals Inter having turned their attention to Udinese left-back Gabriel Silva, the Giallorossi are now in the lead to land the Granata vice-captain for free next June.

However it appears as though Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is looking to bring in the Italian in January and could propose an exchange deal with Torino.

Torino coach Giampiero Ventura covets Roma defender Vasilis Torosidis but it appears as though the Greek is not for sale.

As a result Nicolas Lopez (co-owned by Roma and Udinese) and Gianluca Caprari are possible options to join the Granata.
