Roma president James Pallotta has spoken with the mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino over proposals for a new stadium.

The discussion involved plans to build a stadium believed to have a capacity of 52,000.

“We are grateful to the Mayor Ignazio Marino for having accepted our invitation and for welcoming us at the city hall,” James Pallotta told press.

“Our planning continues and we found the mayor’s and assessors’ input, suggestions and comments invaluable.

“We want to thank them for their time and look forward to continuing our efforts with a great spirit of partnership with the city on this project.”

Marino also confirmed plans to develop several projects in the social sector, aimed at supporting promotion of sport in deprived neighbourhoods.
