Giuseppe Rossi was happy his side managed to secure all three points against a tough Verona side on Monday evening.
The striker bagged one goal from a penalty in the seven goal thriller which his side came out on top of, winning 4-3.
“Today we got an important three points against a good team and we’re happy,” Rossi told Sky Sport Italia.
“Against Roma we will try to win and inflict their first defeat of the season upon them.
“We always enter the pitch trying to win three points and on Sunday we will do it again.”
Rossi was also pleased with Fiorentina legend Gabriel Batistuta’s presence in the stands.
“Batistuta? We knew he was in the stands,” Rossi said. “We all know what he did for Fiorentina and he was a great player.
“Gomez? We’re waiting for him, he’s a player we really need.”
