Swansea City are exploring the possibility of signing Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella in the January transfer window, it has been reported.

Quagliarella has found appearances hard to come by so far in this season, with Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente having established themselves as Juve’s first-choice strike pairing.

The 30-year-old has made just three league starts and seven substitute appearances and has scored one goal.

However, according to Sports Direct News, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is looking to strengthen the Welsh side’s strike force due to a lack of goals in the league.

Michu, who scored 18 times in the 2012/13 Premier League, has only found the back of the net twice so far. The club’s league top scorer is summer signing Wilfried Bony, with four goals.
