Former Juventus and current Wolfsburg midfielder Diego has admitted that he would like to reunite with former teammate and current AC Milan star Robinho.

The 28 year-old has entered the final months of his contract with the Lower Saxony club since arriving for €15.5 million from the Turin giants.

The Brazilian recently spoke of his desire to be reunited with Santos youth graduate Robinho, whether it be in Italy, Germany or Brazil.

“[Robinho] is a great friend and a spectacular player.” the playmaker told ESPN.

“It would be a pleasure to play with him, who knows? We live in different realities, he’s at Milan and I’m at Wolfsburg.

“We are happy, but there is still much to do. Maybe one day we will meet, it would be a pleasure.”

Like Diego, Robinho has been faced with questions regarding his future with a return to Brazil still on the cards.

His career in Italy was short after an unspectacular season with Juventus in 2009/10 after joining from Werder Bremen.
