Japan national team coach Alberto Zaccheroni believes that Juventus are still the strongest team in Serie A and have no rivals in their race for another Scudetto.

The Bianconeri are currently in first place in the league table after recently passing Roma, while other potential title contenders like Napoli have been falling behind as well.

Zaccheroni spoke to TuttoSport about his views on a few of Italy’s top teams and conceded that some clubs still need to make further improvements.

“At the moment, I don’t see a rival that can counter Juventus,” said the former AC Milan tactician, who’s seen as a possible successor to Cesare Prandelli as Italy boss.

“The recent slowdowns of Napoli and Roma seem momentary and physiological.

“[Walter] Mazzarri’s Inter is tough and I’m convinced that they can steadily maintain positive results.

“I’ve also been keeping a good eye on Fiorentina, I’ve seen them play well.”
