AC Milan’s continued search for a goalkeeper has now brought Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel into the spotlight.
The 27 year old Dane has now emerged as a leading candidate to replace Rossoneri stalwart Christian Abbiati as new head coach Clarence Seedorf looks to build a squad towards the future.
Sky Sport Italia revealed the Rossoneri to be keeping tabs on the Foxes goalkeeper as a cheap alternative to Newcastle United’s Tim Krul who could command a fee believed to been in the region of at least €10 million.
Having started his career at Manchester City, he could not force his way into the number one shirt and spent time on loan at a variety of clubs before joining Notts County where he began to show promise. A short spell with Leeds United followed before he joined his current side in 2011.
