Nicklas Bendtner could be purchased by Lazio in the current transfer window after it is revealed Arsenal are willing to offload the forward.

Former Juventus striker Bendtner has been out of favour in London and could return to Italy to obtain regular first team football.

The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal are willing to offload the Dane to Lazio president Claudio Lotito and a deal could progress over the coming week.

Bendtner has only featured in 12 matches, scoring twice this season.

However, his agent has reported that the 26-year-old is focused on his Arsenal career and is not considering a move to Serie A.

“We have not been in touch with Arsenal about a move,” Bendtner’s agent Tom Brooks told Danish football magazine Tipsbladet.

“We might discuss it with Arsenal later in case it is necessary but Nicklas is focused on Arsenal and regaining his fitness.”

  1. Please Please Lazio, take Bendtner. I will even help to subscribe to his departure. He is an embarrassment to Arsenal. he is devoid o any skills, can’t dribble, as slow as Mertesecker, has no threat capability in as that should be occupied by a striker, does not know how to run of the ball. Did you see him last night? How in the hell can Wenger justify playing this man in an Arsenal jersey? I defy Wenger to name what he offers as a threat to any team. Why are there no takers? I can tell you! No one wants t waste their money and I don’t blame them. No one in England will take him even on a free transfer. The next player Wenger needs t get rid of is Carl Jenkinson, he needs to be playing in the same league as Coventry.
