Bologna forward Alessandro Diamanti’s reported move to Guangzhou Evergrande during the current transfer window has supposedly been called off already.

The 30-year-old was widely believed to be on the verge of signing with the Chinese giants before the end of the January transfer window, but it seems that the two clubs have hit a bump in negotiations on Thursday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal has been called off due to the inability to agree on a proper fee for the Italian international.

It’s now reported that the Southern China Tigers could be looking to land Parma winger Jonathan Biabiany instead, though the Crociati seem unwilling to let him go any time soon.

Diamanti joined Bologna from Brescia in 2011 and has scored a total of 18 goals in his 81 Serie A appearances for the club since his arrival, with four goals coming in his 17 league appearances this season thus far.
