Marco Borriello is set to join West Ham United on loan for the rest of the season, according to reports in the England.

The Roma forward has been linked with a move away from the Giallorossi for some time and is expected to complete a medical with the East London club in the next few days.

Sky Sports reported that the deal could be concluded by the weekend if an agreement can be reached over the players wages, which are thought to be around €5.4 million per season.

The 31-year-old striker is set to become the Hammers second loan signing from Serie A as Milan’s Antonio Nocerino is expected to complete his move by the weekend as well.

Borriello, capped seven times with Italy, has one goal from 11 appearances this season.
