Edinson Cavani PSGParis Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani praised the Napoli team he played for last season while stating that the current squad has the necessary tools to do even better.

The 26-year-old star striker scored 29 goals for Napoli during the 2012-2013 season, and as result he was awarded a spot in the league’s top starting XI at Monday night’s Gran Gala del Calcio awards.

“It is nice to receive this award, thank you to my team mates at Napoli, to the city and to everyone who helped me to win,” Cavani commented after receiving the award.

“I try to find comfort, but certainly I miss Napoli, just as I miss my country. What interests me now is to reach important targets with PSG,”

“Napoli has a great advantage, they have a crowd that pushes you to give more than 100 per cent. In my opinion that was our strongest Napoli, but this one has everything to do even better.”

Cavani has scored 13 goals in 20 league matches so far for the French giants who currently are top of the French League 1 with 51 points.
