Juventus defender and Italian international Giorgio Chiellini doesn’t think that the short winter break has given neither the Bianconeri nor Roma an advantage ahead of Sunday’s clash.

The Serie A teams have been given a two-week christmas break before returning to action again on Sunday, with league leaders Juventus taking on second-placed Roma in Turin.

“Roma have had a resounding start in the league. They won ten games in a row and have showed that they have a good team with a solid defence,” Chiellini said to Sky Sport 24.

“Our start was not perfect and we all made small mistakes. However, after the Fiorentina game, the squad changed and the important thing is to keep on winning.”

“The break hasn’t helped neither of the two teams because we both finished off very well and now we have a great desire to play a good game”.

Juventus – Roma will kick off at 20.45 on Sunday at the Juventus Stadium.
