Chievo have confirmed that winger Marcelo Estigarribia has moved to Atalanta on loan.
After joining the Veneto club just last September, the Paraguay international has agreed terms on a move to Bergamo until the end of the season.
In an official statement on their club website, Chievo confirmed that Estigarribia will remain at Atalanta until 30 June.
The player has made 16 appearances in Serie A so far this term – laying on one assist in the process – and also lined up once in the Coppa Italia. Yet despite being a fairly regular fixture in this Chievo side, the 26-year-old’s performances have been somewhat underwhelming.
Having previously turned out for Sampdoria and Juventus, however, the winger certainly has plenty of experience in the Italian top flight.
With his side currently sitting in 12th place in the table, Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono will be hoping that the move will galvanise his squad and ensure a strong finish to the campaign.
