Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco was disappointed his side didn’t show their usual fighting spirit as they fell 2-0 to Torino on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Ciro Immobile and Matteo Brighi gave the Granata a comfortable win at the Mapei Stadium in a game that was influenced heavily by the weather.

“We are disappointed by the defeat against the Granata,” Di Francesco told Rai Sport.

“We did not have the same spirit of last Sunday against Milan. We had very little offensive weight and were unable to get back into the match.”

He went on to comment on the conditions of the pitch and suggested they played a part in his sides poor performance.

“The field did not help us, the conditions of the pitch were not favorable to the performance of the boys. ”

Sassuolo find themselves in 17th place after this defeat, level on points with 18th place Bologna after they held Napoli to a 2-2 draw.
