Lazio midfielder Ederson has thanked the Biancocelesti fans for their support after he suffered a serious injury to his right thigh in the capital city club’s recent Serie A match against Udinese on January 19.
The 28-year-old had to leave the pitch in the final minutes of Lazio’s match against the Zebrette, which ended in a 3-2 Lazio win, after seriously damaging the ligaments in his right thigh and will be out of the team’s line up for up to six months.
Ederson released a statement on his official Twitter to thank the Aquilotti fans for all of their support during his hard time and assured them that he’ll come back stronger than ever.
“Thank you, this positive energy will help me take the pain from today and make it into the victories of tomorrow,” said the Brazilian.
“I’ll be stronger than before, both physically and mentally.”
Ederson has scored one goal in his 15 league appearances for the Biancocelesti this season.
