Vincenzo Montella has not completely denied rumours that Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic could return to Fiorentina in January.
After it was announced that Giuseppe Rossi will miss two months of action and with Mario Gomez still not fit plans are said to have been put in place to sign another striker in January transfer window.
Rumours have since gathered pace about a return for Jovetic, who only left the club in the summer but has barely featured for Manchester City.
“Jovetic? It seems he’s injured too,” Montella told the press.
“But his arrival isn’t science fiction.”
The 24-year-old who scored 40 goals in 134 appearances for the Viola has played five times for the Citizens scoring twice this season.
