With Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi out with injuries, Fiorentina are currently searching for a new striker and are they now being linked with veteran Antonio Cassano.
Montella’s side have also been linked with Antonio Di Natale and former Viola striker Stevan Jovetic, with both their main strikers being out with long term injuries.
La Nazione believe that the Tuscan team are most likely to focus on veteran Parma striker Cassano, who has been rumoured to want a switch away from Ennio Tardini.
Unfortunately for Fiorentina, with Marco Parolo and Jonathan Biabiany also rumoured to be leaving Parma, it is unclear whether Parma will be willing now to sell their top goal scorer in this transfer window.
Fiorentina currently sit fourth in Serie A with 36 points.
