Alejandro Gomez has emerged as a target for Fiorentina in January to aid their current injured strike force.
Although Mario Gomez is nearing a return, La Viola are looking to strengthen due to the recent injury to top scorer Guiseppe Rossi.
The Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Fiorentina have a list of potential options should Gomez’s return be further delayed, with ‘Papu’ Gomez the preferred option it seems.
If Mario Gomez is not able to return to action in January, Fiorentina look set to make an offer for the former Catania man who is currently unsettled at Metalist.
Mario Gomez has been out of action since September after injuring knee ligaments and has had a delayed return to the side.
