Fiorentina striker Oleksandr Iakovenko will reportedly join Malaga on loan until the end of the current season.
The 26-year-old hasn’t seen much time on the pitch since joining the Viola from Anderlecht before the start of the 2013-14 campaign, as he has just three Serie A appearances for the club thus far.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Malaga that will see the Ukrainian international join the Spanish side in a free loan transfer that will last until June.
The forward will reportedly sign his contract with the La Liga side on Friday after he undergoes his medical for the club.
Oleksandr Iakovenko is yet to score a goal in his total of six appearances in all competitions for the Gigliati since his arrival, though he’s managed to provide an assist in Europa League play. He has just one cap with the senior Ukrainian national team since making his debut with them in 2010, but has appeared for almost all of his country’s youth national teams starting from the Under-15 squad.
