Inter president Erik Thohir has earmarked Roma director Walter Sabatini as the man to fix Inter’s transfer strategy.

The Guarin-Vucinic saga has left a bitter taste in the mouths of Inter fans, and has reflected poorly on Inter’s integrity and reputation on the global scale.

This saga is the latest in the line of incompetent dealings that the Inter board have made in recent transfer windows, and Inter director Marco Branca looks to be removed from his position sooner rather than later.

Il Corriere della Sera report that Thohir has been impressed by Sabatini’s work in the capital, and is interested in tempting the director to the San Siro if an opportunity arises.

Inter have had a poor 2014 so far, capped off by a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to cellar dwellars Catania on Sunday.
