Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he’s interested in Inter striker Ishak Belfodil, though he feels a move to West Ham United seems more likely for the player.

The 22-year-old has been open to a departure from the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window due to lack of space in the Serie A team’s line up, and reports have widely linked him with a move to either the Hammers or QPR.

Redknapp spoke during a press conference on Tuesday about his club’s fondness of the Algerian international, but conceded that the striker may already be in advanced talks with West Ham.

“I think that West Ham want Belfodil too much,” said the tactician. “He’s a player who also interests us, but we need to see if there are conditions that could convince him to come to us.

“I’m not very sure of how this situation will end, but I think that West Ham is already ahead in the race for him.”
