Lazio look to Chelsea midfielder to replace Hernanes

Lazio’s search for a man to take the place of departing midfielder Hernanes has lead them to Chelsea and in particular Gael Kakuta.

The young midfielder was widely tipped to be one of the hottest prospects in the game when he signed for the Blues in 2009 with a big reputation.

Sky Sports are reporting that Lazio could make late contact with the London club to try and tempt the 22-year-old to the Italian capital.

He has often failed to live up to that aforementioned big reputation he has been saddled with and has been farmed out on loan to Bolton, Fulham, Dijon and Vitesse.

The Frenchman was recalled from his most recent spell out on loan, with Vitesse, at the start of this month.
