Bologna captain Alessandro Diamanti could be on his way east as Marcelo’s Lippi’s Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande are reportedly interested in signing him.

The Italian playmaker, who has previously played outside Italy with West Ham United, has been struggling this season to reach the heights of his previous campaign with Rossoblu and old Italian master Lippi is set to take advantage.

According to Panorama, the Asian Champions League winners are looking to secure Diamanti and they are able to pay the asking price of  €12 million set by the Felsinei.

The former Livorno player has failed to lead Bologna away from the relegation zone as they currently sit in 18th place.
