Napoli have set their sights on a possible deal that will bring Valencia midfielder Ever Banega to Southern Italy.
After Napoli’s offer of €17 million was rejected by Lyon in an attempt to sign captain Maxime Gonalons, the San Paolo side have now placed their focus on signing Banega from Los Che.
According to reports from Sport Mediaset, the Partenopei are looking at the 25-year-old as they believe he will help bolster their midfield.
Rafa Benitez was able to lure star player Gonzalo Higuain from La Liga this season and with a transfer budget of €30 million, Banega could be the next star on his list to make the move abroad.
The Argentina international has made 15 appearances scoring one goal for the Mestella side in La Liga so far this season.
