Palmeiras defender Henrique is near to completing a move to Napoli.
The 27-year-old Brazilian defender is set to undergo a medical and will then be officially announced as an Azzurri player.
“It is a good for everyone concerned,” the player’s agent Marcos Malaquias told GloboEsporte.com.
“Henrique didn’t want to leave Palmeiras in their centenary year, but the offer for the player has satisfied us.”
Reports have suggested that the Brazilian international has a contract buy-out clause of €6 million, however the Partenopei are believed to have had an offer of €4m accepted by Palmeiras.
It is also reported that 80% of the transfer fee will go to the club and 20% to the player and his representative.
Henrique already has experience of playing in Europe having previously joined Barcelona for €10m in 2008.
While he did not make a first team appearance for Barca, Henrique had loan spells at Bayer Leverkusen and Racing Santander before being sold to Palmeiras in 2012.
