New AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf will not be looking to offload midfielder Valter Birsa during the January transfer window.
The Slovenian was heavily linked with a return to Torino in recent weeks, and with the addition of Keisuke Honda, there were reports he was set for an exit from the Rossoneri.
Tuttomercatoweb.com are reporting that the player met with Seedorf in recent days, and the Dutchman has assured Birsa that he is counting on him for the rest of the season.
Birsa has been in decent form for Milan this season registering two goals in his 12 Serie A appearances so far this campaign.
