Giampiero Ventura TorinoTorino coach Giampiero Ventura has reportedly asked the club’s leadership to sign Lorenzo Ariaudo and Emil Hallfredsson.

Ariaudo is played only four times for Cagliari this season.

It would cost the Granata around €1 million to purchase the central defender in the January transfer window, but he would be available for free in the summer when his contract expires.

However, according to La Stampa, Udinese and Sassuolo are also interested in the 24-year-old.

Hallfredsson, 29, has played a key part in Hellas Verona’s remarkable first season back in Serie A so far, but would be available for less than half a million euros.

Torino are also considering a possible alternative to the Icelandic midfielder in the form of AC Milan’s Antonio Nocerino. The 28-year-old has started just five league games for the Rossoneri this season.
