Exiled Cagliari goalkeeper Michael Agazzi has reportedly agreed to sign for AC Milan on a free transfer in June, while promising Genoa custodian Mattia Perin could join in the summer of 2015.

29-year-old Agazzi, who has been sent on loan to Chievo for the remainder of the season, is in the final six months of his contract at the Stadio Sant’Elia, and has been frozen out of the squad since he refused to sign an extension last November.

According to Tuttosport, the first and second choice ‘keepers for the 2014-15 campaign are set to be veteran shot-stopper Christian Abbiati, who will turn 37 in July, and the Isolani goal-minder, who is almost certain to move to Milanello at the end of the current term.

With former Juventus goalkeeper Abbiati likely to call an end to his playing career in 2015, the Rossoneri will then move for Italian Under-21 star Perin, who has been touted by many as the heir to Gianluigi Buffon between the sticks for the Azzurri.

The 21-year-old is being closely linked with the Diavolo, and Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has already sounded out Grifone president Enrico Preziosi over a potential move for his prized asset.
