AC Milan are set to be without star striker Mario Balotelli for a minimum of 10 days, whilst Mattia De Sciglio has also been ruled out of for an indefinite period of time following an ankle injury suffered in the Rossoneri’s Champion’s League clash against Atletico Madrid.

Balotelli suffered a shoulder injury after falling awkwardly during the fixture and club medics have ruled him out for at least 10 days, providing his rehabilitation goes according to schedule.

Milan released a statement confirming that De Sciglio will undergo further tests to discover the extent of the damage dealt to his ankle following a challenge with Atletico’s Emiliano Insua, but initial reports have ruled out any lesions to the bone.

An announcement on the full-back’s progress will be made once further tests are conducted over the coming days.

The Rossoneri travel to Madrid on March 11th to face Atletico in the second leg of their European tie, trailing behind 1-0 after conceding a late Diego Costa goal in the first leg.
