AC Milan star Mario Balotelli expressed his satisfaction for his team performance against Atletico Madrid despite the loss at the Stadio Meazza.
The Rossoneri hit the woodwork twice and forced Los Rojiblancos goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois into a number of saves, but in the end a Diego Costa goal gave the Spanish side a 1-0 win.
“Yesterday Milan had a great game but were unlucky. Congratulations you guys,” the Italian international wrote to his twitter account after the match.
Balotelli has managed 10 goals in 18 Serie A games for the Rossoneri, but has grabbed just one in the Champions League this season.
