Benitez - NapoliNapoli boss Rafa Benitez is adamant that his team must have the right mentality in their match with Genoa on Monday.

The Partenopei will be hosting the Grifone at the San Paolo on Monday and the tactician wants his squad to continue playing the way they’ve been in recent weeks, as they’re coming off of two consecutive Serie A wins and a big Coppa Italia semi-final victory over an impressive Roma side.

Benitez spoke to Napoli’s official website ahead of Monday’s match about some of the players that will be returning to the Azzurri line up, while also commenting on how he wants his team to carry out their game against Genoa.

“I’m very pleased with the way the group is working,” said the 53-year-old.

“Compared to our Europa League trip to Swansea City, we now have [Federico] Fernandez, Jorginho and [Josip] Radosevic available again.

“I’m also especially happy with [Giandomenico] Mesto, who has almost been able to carry out a full training session with his team-mates and is making great progress with his condition since his injury.

“It will be a tough game, especially on the psychological level because Genoa doesn’t have the same pressures as us and will come to play with relative comfort and safety.

“This is why we must enter the field with the same mentality and intensity that we’ve shown in recent weeks.

“These were the characteristics and qualities that have brought us to achieve good results.”
