Rolando Maran, speaking in the wake of his side’s 0-0 draw away to Parma, praised his Catania players for the manner in which they tried to play the game.

His side rattled the woodwork twice during the game but had to settle for a point although they have began to pick up points on a consistent basis, reeling off three consecutive draws.

Talking to Rai Sport, he said: “Last week [against Livorno] we scored three goals and that was not enough and again today we have created some good chances and it is good to see us playing the right way.

“I think that on the day we deserved more but we will return home with the knowledge that we have done absolutely everything possible to try and pick up the right result.”

Up next for the Elefanti, is a home game against Lazio. “We know the quality of Lazio and are finding them in a positive spell. We, however, are not scared of anyone and will be out to get a positive result.”
